Annual Public Notification of Nondiscrimination

CAVIAT Career and Technical Education department does not discriminate in enrollment or access to any of the programs available in all the member districts. CAVIAT also does not discriminate in its hiring or employment practices.

This notice is provided as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Forward any questions, complaints, or requests for additional information regarding these laws to the designated compliance coordinator:

CAVIAT is governed by a nine member board. Members of the board are elected from the geographic area in which they reside. CAVIAT is a districted system, meaning that the nine elected members represent a specific land and populace area.

The CAVIAT Governing Board is a policy setting board following the same rules and regulations as all public school district governing boards.

The elected board members each serve a four-year term.

Members of the public are welcome to attend each meeting of the Governing Board. By law, the board members may only address items on the agenda; individuals are welcome to address any item on the agenda by letting an administrator or board member know that they wish to address the board. Board meeting agendas are posted on the website at least 24 hours prior to the meeting posted at the CAVIAT District Office located in Page, Arizona.
