CAVIAT Central Programs are enhanced CTE programs of study that are offered at post-secondary institutions, industry and/or CAVIAT owned facilities. These central programs may or may not follow a typical high school schedule. These programs allow students the ability to earn industry certification, college credit and internship opportunities.
Alternative Energy Technician
The Alternative Energy Technology program will provide students with the skills to pursue a career in the Alternative Energy and Green Technologies career fields. The students will be instructed through mastery learning conditions and field study workshops arranged with local contractors.
Four Semester program open to high school juniors and seniors. Taught on the Coconino Community College Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Pursuing a career in the BioSciences can be immensely rewarding and exciting. Understand about the natural world in which we live and address issues of personal well being and worldwide concern, such as environmental degradation and threats to human health.
Two semester program taught at NAU in Flagstaff and at the CAVIAT Central Campuses outside of the Flagstaff area.
The Business program is designed to prepare students to enter the business profession, at an entry level, with pathways in general business, accounting, and business management. Enrolled students will gain general knowledge and skills tailored to their area of interest.
Two to four semester program open to high school juniors and seniors. Taught on the Coconino Community College Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Online or ITV options are available for students who live outside of the Flagstaff area.
Emergency Medical Service
As a first responder, you'll be one of the first people to arrive and provide medical care at emergency incidents. Topics covered are patient assessment, CPR review, airway, shock, would management, full body mobilization, and initial treatment for other medical emergencies. This program prepares students to pathway into an EMT or other related health career.
One or two semester program for high school seniors only.
Fashion Design & Merchandising
Fashion Design & Merchandising provides learning experiences in all aspects of the fashion scene: design techniques, fashion merchandising, business communication skills, computer technology skills and apparel construction. The program consists of a variety of projects that will challenge students, provide work-based learning experiences and allow students to utilize their artistic abilities.
One to three year program open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Taught at the CAVIAT Central Campus, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Marine Power & Extreme Sports Technology
This course is designed to introduce students to various marine systems including inboard, outboard, stern drive, personal watercraft (PWC), all-terrain vehicle (ATV), and motorcycle repair procedures. The course will cover basic two-stroke and four-stroke engine repair, propulsion repair, drive train repair, suspension repair, and braking repair for each type of equipment.
Upon successful completion students will have the opportunity to earn NCCER Mechanic Level One and the OSHA 10 certificates.

Medical Professions Foundations
Students will explore a wide range of medical careers, the roles and responsibilities of a medical professions team, as well as the importance and function of community medical professions. The professional skills and terminology required by medical experts will be taught through practical lab experiences. In addition students will examine medical ethics and cultural values in the medical professions.
Two semester program for high school sophomores and juniors. Taught at the CAVIAT Central Campus.

The Nursing Assistant program prepares students to work in the health care industry in places such as: hospitals, doctor's offices, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, and home health care. This program is designed for students seeking an introduction to nursing assisting and the basic skills required for computations, documenting, team collaboration, communication, and client advocacy in the health care setting. Prepares students for entry level employment in acute care, long term care, and assisted living settings.
Two semester program for high school seniors only. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the State Certification exam at the end of the second semester.

The Pre-Health Careers program assists students in completing the prerequisites to qualify for the nursing program at the Coconino Community College and other Arizona community colleges currently offering a nursing program, or to seek opportunities within Emergency Medical Services and some Allied Health fields. This Program of Study achieves the perquisites and some of the co-requisites required by the Coconino Community College prior to applying to their school of nursing.
